What are the minimum requirements to qualify to be a success space franchisee?

As an emerging franchise concept, SUCCESS™ Space is expanding nationally with both single and multi-unit franchise operators. Ideal franchisees are those who understand that the way we “work” is changing. SUCCESS™ Enterprises is looking for smart businesspeople to invest in their local communities who have a background in realty, management, or other retail-relevant business experience, and are well-capitalized to support the initial SUCCESS™ Space investment ranging between $468,650 and $1,442,150.

What fees will I pay when I become a SUCCESS Space franchisee?

We estimate your initial investment to be between $468,650 and $1,442,150. Initial investments will vary dependent on the market you are in, the landlord and the lease you are able to obtain, and the cost of construction in your area. Does SUCCESS Space provide franchisee financing?

May I qualify financially with other partners?

Yes, SUCCESS Space will financially qualify potential franchisees who have multiple partners/investors.

Is SUCCESS Space listed in the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) registry?

SBA no longer supports or maintains the Franchise Directory. You may download this last version of the directory as of May 11, 2023, to support your historical loan files.

What happens after I submit by online application?

What is the profitability of the business?

That totally depends on you! We provide the platform for your success: including a smart design, multiple revenue streams, a trademark to an iconic brand and support from a world-class team. The FTC’s Franchise Rule permits a franchisor to provide information about the actual or potential financial performance of its franchised and/or franchisor-owned outlets, if there is a reasonable basis for the information, and if the information is included in the Disclosure Document. Financial performance information that differs from that included in Item 19 may be given only if: (1) a franchisor provides the actual records of an existing outlet you are considering buying; or (2) a franchisor supplements the information provided in this Item 19, for example, by providing information about possible performance at a particular location or under particular circumstances.

We do not make any representations about a franchisee’s future financial performance or the past financial performance of company-owned or franchised outlets. We also do not authorize our employees or representatives to make any such representations either orally or in writing. If you are purchasing an existing outlet, however, we may provide you with the actual records of that outlet. If you receive any other financial performance information or projections of your future income, you should report it to the Federal Trade Commission, the appropriate state regulatory agencies, and our management by contacting our President, Ted Laatz, at 750 N. Do you offer any financial or development incentives for new franchisees?

We currently offer a program that includes various financial benefits and other incentives for our initial group of franchisees (the “Founders’ Club Program”). In order to participate, the franchisee must attend and actively participate in quarterly Founders’ Club meetings to discuss the SUCCESS Space business model and potential enhancements and improvements. A qualifying franchisee that elects to participate in the Founders’ Club Program is referred to as a “Founders’ Club Member.”

How long is the entire process of becoming a SUCCESS Space franchisee?

We expect most franchisees will open their Facility within 90 to 180 days after signing the Franchise Agreement. Factors that may affect this time include:

  • The amount of time needed to find an approved site.
  • Protracted lease negotiations with your landlord.
  • The amount of time needed to secure financing, insurance, licenses and permits.
  • The condition of your building and extent of required upgrades, remodeling and renovations.
  • Construction delays due to labor or materials shortages, inclement weather or other reasons.
  • Delayed delivery or installation of equipment and fixtures.
  • The amount of time needed to comply with zoning requirements and other laws and regulations.
  • The amount of time needed to complete training.
  • The amount of time needed to hire and train your staff.

What kind of support can I expect after I open?

As an independent business owner and franchisee, you are free to operate within the brand standards we provide, hiring, training and managing a first-class team in your local market and being the brand ambassador for SUCCESS® Space in your area. Our dedicated team of professionals will be just a phone call away to assist you as needed, and they will be onsite quarterly your first year to go over your operations, financials and marketing. You will also have a designated Franchise Business Coach available to you throughout your whole SUCCESS® franchise experience.

What kind of training does SUCCESS Space offer?

We will provide an initial training program for your Managing Owner and Designated Manager. You may send other owners and employees to the initial training program, but it is not required. We will also provide our SUCCESS Space Coaching Certification Program for your Business Coach and Managing Owner. Before you open your Facility: (a) your Managing Owner and Designated Manager must successfully complete the initial training program to our satisfaction; and (b) your Business Coach must successfully complete the SUCCESS Space Coaching Certification Program to our satisfaction. However, there is no specific period of time after signing or before opening that training must be completed. 

Our initial training program includes 3 to 5 days of training that takes place at our designated training facility. Currently, we do not have a designated training facility. If you attend training before we have a designated training facility, we will provide the initial training program onsite at your Facility. Our initial training program also includes approximately 36 hours of virtual training conducted through our Learning Management Platform. All virtual training must be successfully completed by your Managing Owner and Designated Manager prior to attending training at our designated training facility (or onsite at your Facility if we do not have a designated training facility at that time).

What type of marketing materials and support will I receive?

We will assist you in developing your grand opening marketing plan. We may require that you hire a marketing company we designate to design and implement your customized grand opening marketing plan. After opening, you must spend the minimum amount we specify each month on local advertising (i.e., your Local Marketing Commitment). We may create advertising and marketing materials for your use. We will provide reasonable marketing consulting, guidance and support throughout the franchise term.

Will I be required to use specific computer software at my SUCCESS Space location?

You must purchase and use all Technology Systems we designate from time to time. Our required Technology Franchise Disclosure Document (2022). Systems may include computer systems, point-of-sale systems, webcam systems, telecommunications systems, security systems, music systems, and similar systems, together with the associated hardware, software (including cloud-based software) and related equipment, software applications, mobile apps and third-party services relating to the establishment, use, maintenance, monitoring, security or improvement of these systems.

What is the availability of sites and territory in my area of interest?

We will provide you with a generous territory surrounding your SUCCESS® Space franchise location. The size will be based on the local population, demographics, flow of traffic and traffic patterns. You will have no less than 50,000 people in your territory, and we will not allow another franchise to open in that area. You will not receive an exclusive territory. Although we do not grant exclusive territories, we do grant you certain territorial protections. Specifically, we will not develop or operate, or authorize a third party to develop or operate, a SUCCESS Space Facility that is physically located within your territory during the term of your Franchise Agreement.

What is the typical size of a SUCCESS Space?

A typical SUCCESS Space Facility ranges in size from 4,500 to 5,500 square feet. Most Facilities are located in high traffic premium retail centers located in suburban retail areas.

How many units do I have to commit to develop?

SUCCESS Space offers single-unit franchise development agreements and muti-unit area development franchise agreements.
